Artist Receives Rave Reviews, Featured In Hometown Paper, “The Intelligencer”

(Philadelphia, PA) - July 31, 2009 – Philadelphia native and gospel newcomer, Conrad Miller, has generated a buzz within the gospel industry with his debut CD entitled My Journey. This project contains a compilation of original songs written by Miller that tell a compelling story of his close relationship and love for God. GRAMMY, Dove, Stellar Award winner Steven Ford, who is no stranger to the gospel arena, was able to showcase his talent and expertise by serving as producer for this masterpiece. My Journey promises to attract all quartet lovers, but will also draw attention from traditional gospel music lovers as well.

“The lyrics may be grounded in personal faith, but the songs on My Journey sound as if they were pulled off old vinyl records”, stated The Black Gospel Blog. My Journey has been covered in several print and online publications such as the Belle Report, Gospelcity.com, Gospelflava.com, PrayzeHymnOnline.com, TCP Magazine, I AM Magazine, and WOW Magazine. Conrad Miller’s hometown newspaper, The Intelligencer, focused on him in their July 19th article “Vocational Passion” where they said, “With Miller’s warm, smooth vocals, and the disc’s melodic uncluttered arrangements, the songs speak to God as both salvation and consolation while also paying tribute to the example of faith set by Miller’s parents and expressing his own gratitude for the many blessings in his life.”

Conrad’s music is being heard across the airwaves on several radio and Internet stations nationally. Songs such as “Amazing”, a bouncy, energetic praise song, and “Momma Prayed For Me” are being aired on over 125 gospel radio stations in major cities such as Baltimore, MD, St. Louis, MO, Seattle, WA, Brooklyn, NY, Atlanta, GA, Raleigh, NC, Nashville, TN, Chicago, IL, San Francisco, CA and Houston, TX.

Despite the tragic death of his 16-year old daughter, Lauren, Conrad has allowed this project to be a source of healing while expressing to the masses his love and passion for gospel music. PRAYZEHYMNOnline.com quotes, “Much of the album leans on traditional, bluesy-anchored mid-tempo rhythms swollen up with smooth male harmonies and Miller’s sweet lead vocals. It’s the friendly, very familiar Sunday morning sounds, yet highly laid-back and innocent than most aggressive, full-throttled gospel workouts usually done in the traditional camp”.

Gospelflava.com says, “From start to finish, the album remains true to the classic R&B/gospel feel of years gone by that is rarely heard in today’s music. Relying on basic harmonies and simple musical arrangements, Miller places emphasis on his core message. His light, vibrato-laden voice shares the gospel in a smooth and non-abrasive manner, reminiscent of the old-soul vibe of the classic Motown years.”

My Journey allows one to reflect on the journey that we all have experienced through our different walks of faith. It delivers a touching, emotional, yet comforting message and is destined to be blessing to all. For more information about Conrad Miller, go to www.ConradMillerMusic.com.
