Father & Son Team Up to Release-My Worship Experience CD-Bryant Scott and Bishop Leonard Scott Make God the Focus in Worship

No comments 04 August 2010 Under: Black Gospel News

For Immediate Release:

What do you get when you combine the spoken Word of God and Modern Day Psalms of Adoration and Praise? You get the brand new CD, My Worship Experience CD. Produced and written by Bryant Scott and Bishop Leonard Scott, My Worship Experience is a unique, Father-Son project setting new trends in Praise and Worship music.

In August 2009, Bryant Scott’s vision was birthed of creating a worship service where no one was the center of attraction but God. This anointed night became known as “My Worship Experience”, where hundreds of people felt the presence of God without interruption.

Aside from running the longstanding gospel label, Tyscot Records, Bryant Scott and Bishop Leonard Scott worked hand in hand to bring forth this life-changing service. For this project, both music moguls combined their musical gifts, with Bryant Scott serving as producer while Bishop Scott penned all but 2 songs for the CD.

My Worship Experience features various artists including, Deitrick Haddon, Lucinda Moore, Jonathan Dunn, Damita, Joann Rosario Condrey, Pastor Ronnie “Diamond” Hoard and more.

According to Bryant Scott, the featured artists’ collaborative efforts produced a sound of worship felt and heard throughout the entire project: “Everybody was anointed to do what they did, the worship leaders were invisible, it wasn’t about who was leading, it was about the experience,” said Scott.

Bishop Scott added that, another unique aspect of this project is that everyone was on one accord from the featured artists to the set musicians. “The artists on the project are anointed praise leaders & knowledgeable on entering into the presence of God and carrying others along with them-all of the songs are vertical, sung to God and are about Him.”

The current radio single, “I Need You Now” is the first offering from My Worship Experience. With vocals from Damita Haddon, R&B singer Lil Mo and Tyscot Records’ newest signee, Phillip Bryant, I Need You Now has a world-music, ‘we-are-the-world’ type of vibe. I Need You Now’s lyrics and musical style lend to the other purpose of the single, which is to bring awareness and aid to disaster relief efforts. As a person who’s participated in both domestic and international missions, Bishop Leonard Scott truly has a heart for this important work. Proceeds from the sale of the “I Need You Now” single will be donated to local organizations that provide disaster relief aid.

Set to be released September 14, 2010, My Worship Experience is a 2-disc collection of heartfelt, sincere songs that truly celebrate our Savior.

Houston’s Newest Gospel Sensation – BJ Smith and Nu Destiny

Houston, Tx. — BJ Smith and Nu Destiny, a dynamic family gospel group, has launched a new project entitled “WE SHALL PREVAIL” which will bless the souls of those who seek God’s favor. They are a close knit group of family and friends, who are led by a pioneer in gospel music for many, many years-Mr. BJ Smith. BJ Smith has been playing gospel music for more than 50 years. He started playing the piano when he was 4 years old and the true gift in his story is that he is self taught and he has never been able to read music, but his hands have been blessed and continue to bless others over and over again. Keeping things in the family, each of his son’s (3) plays several instruments and all are songwriters. His daughter is a melodious songstress and songwriter as well. Each of them have contributed a song to the new album and last, but not least, his wife makes her presence known as one of the strong soprano voices in the group as well.
BJ Smith and Nu Destiny have already experienced some early success. They have performed with gospel recording artist LaShaun Pace, as well as, taking first place at the 12TH Annual Texas Gospel Excellence Awards in the New Gospel Group category and 2nd place at the Texas Gospel Announcers Guild in San Antonio in the same category. Taking their ministry to the masses is their main focus on this journey or “new destiny” if you will. They are determined to share their talents with the rest of the world and remind true believers that if you just “BELIEVE” in the Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit, there is nothing you can’t conquer in your life.

The group has launched a website to keep those interested in joining them when they travel across the city of Houston, the state of Texas and eventually the nation, up to date on their performances and engagements. They have also made it easy for gospel fans to purchase a copy of their album directly from their site via CD baby, Amazon.com and itunes.com. There is also a section for guests to comment on how their music has blessed them in their own personal lives. Don’t let another day go by without you taking some time to check out the next family gospel group to bless the gospel world. You just might be blessed! www.nudestinyrecords.com

About BJ Smith and Nu Destiny
Though we are many members, we are one. We’re a family that has traveled down many paths of this journey called life. There have been many bumps and bruises along the way, but we learned how to trust and have faith in God. On December 5, 2004, we began to embark upon the road that God was leading us down. We were invited to sing at a Christmas musical in Cleveland, Tx. at New Bethel BC. As the spirit began to move, God revealed to us the road to our Nu Destiny. When we began, we were the T.S.C. singers. The name represented each member of the family, but it was not yet what God had in store for us. As we began to think a little deeper about our anointing, and what God has done for each one of us, we all recognized the new dimension that God was taking us to. Now we have all found our true purpose, for we now have a Nu Destiny!

Name: Young Timothy

Label: Beyond Music, Inc. (Indie)

Website: www.youngtimothy.com

Booking: 336.473.8522

Bio: Timothy, formerly known as “Novej” often reflects on Sunday mornings when he would join in during praise and worship. Those are precious memories that keep him focus as he continues to make a joyful but different noise unto the Lord. On any given day Timothy could have been found in his dorm room at Winston Salem State University, producing, recording and engineering his tracks as well as other local artist. That is where he was discovered by producer and Grammy Award winner, 9th Wonder, and later placed in a group called The A.L.L.I.E.S. The storms of life began to rage as Timothy pursued stardom rather ministry. Due to moral standards and creative differences, the group was dissolved and the contract was nullified. It was after an encounter with God when Young Timothy began surrendering to the call that was upon his life and take heed to his parent’s advice. “My mom and dad, who were also my pastors, would always tell me to use my gifts to glorify God and spread the gospel instead of doing secular music”, says Timothy. He also stated “I’ve learned that everything God places in an individual is for building Yahweh’s Kingdom and lifting up Jesus Christ”. Evidence bears witness that Young Timothy’s has been grace with a gift to minister to generations and provide good music while doing so.
