Church Face uncovers the ugliness of hiding our imperfections and it seeks to provide healing to women who continually accept conditional love served on a fractional platter.

Church Face tells women regardless of what they’ve done, or where they’ve been, they are loved and they have value. Church Face examines the polite pretense of appearing to have perfect lives in the church while holding on to an unbearable degree of pain hidden behind plastic smiles and church etiquette. Church Face explores the lives of Cheryl, Stephanie and Monique one of whom is married while two are not, although two attend the same church all three wind up with the same man, do they really believe the words coming out of their Pastors’ mouth on Sunday morning or are they simply playing a role?

Currently Church Face is available at www.lulu.com and www.barnesandnoble.com (lulu marketplace). Church Face is for the believer and the non-believer we reach readers through humor, conviction, empathy, and compassion. Thank you for your time, any response you have will be warmly appreciated. At your request I’ll be happy to send you a proposal of the book for your review and consideration along with my bio. Thank you again.

Thank you,

A duet by Fantasia and mom Diane Barrino-Barber, a moving tribute to ten year host Steve Harvey, and gospel legends that brought the audience to their feet were among the evenings offerings at downtown LA’s Orpheum Theatre, the scene of the taping of BET’s 10th annual “Celebration of Gospel.”

The gloomy LA rain was no match for the celebration as the enthusiastic crowd gave ovations for almost every performance including gospel greats Bebe and Cece Winans, Yolanda Adams, Kelly Price, Fred Hammond, Rance Allen Group, and James Fortune to name a few from the evening’s stellar line-up.

A moving tribute to Steve Harvey’s ten years as host brought out a rarely seen side in the funny man as he was reduced to tears. He was comforted by his wife at his side, whom he told the crowd almost didn’t make it in to the show.

Actress Elise Neal, doing commentary for the evening stated that Steve’s wife hailed from Memphis as she did, which he then turned into a series of back and forth banter with his wife in the front row. Harvey wanted to know who was the man seated next to her, why was he in a coat as it was hot in there.

The seat-fillers for the talent were a moving target for the funny man too, as they made their way down the aisle during commercial breaks. The comedian entertained the audience putting the show staff on the spot claiming they were setting him up with wrong directions, the latest in church sayings, and his challenges with being a ‘young Christian.’

Shirley Caesar and Dr. Bobby Jones seated prominently in the audience, told the crowd of upcoming projects. The evening’s many duets included Anthony and Tarsha Hamilton, Kelly Price and Ledisi, Bebe and Cece Winans and an animated Fanatasia and Diane Barino Barber.

Red carpet arrivals featuring tastefully toned down ensembles, the most popular color choices being black and beige, and the favorite hairstyle, an asymetrical bob rocked at different lengths by Fantasia, Elise Neal, and Kelly Price as most recently seen on pop princess Rihanna. “Sunday Best”

winner Y’anna Crawley’s ensemble stole the spotlight for the carpet’s edgiest outfit with her spiked, studded trend footwear. Stephen Hill was spotted walking the carpet in jeans and black taking pictures with the evening’s talent, perhaps opting for comfort in his role as exec producer.

The behind the scenes goings on and pictures are available online, and all the acts from the 10th Anniversary “Celebration of Gospel” can be witnessed January 10th on BET.

Gospel music audiences across the nation welcome contemporary, inspirational recording artist and songwriter Emmitt Nevels, Jr. as he releases his debut CD “Love You I” on 7-Places Global Gospel. Nevels’ fresh, original style invokes passionate praise and a distinct call to worship that has gospel programmers nationwide adding Nevels to their station’s music rotation.

The up-tempo praise single “I Wanna Bless You” is already gaining national airplay in radio markets such as Atlanta, Detroit, Jacksonville, St. Louis and Buffalo, NY. And, Jazz-styled tracks “Eternity” and “It’s A Good Day” may soon find their way on the playlists of smooth inspirational Jazz shows.

Gospel music historian and WLUW Chicago host Bob Marovich describes “Love You I” as “a simple melodic love song to the Savior. It’s fresh, modern, crisp and electric, a blend of Christian pop and contemporary gospel.”

“I just write from my heart,” says Nevels who penned every song on his freshman album except “You Are Great” (Ishmael Hale). An accomplished songwriter, Nevels has written popular songs like “Company,” “Alright” and the Billboard Top 30 single “Clap Your Hands” for his siblings, gospel singing sensations the Nevels Sisters.

Nevels, a Youngstown, Ohio native, previously sang lead for a local group G-Clef and even had an offer to join the Grammy award-winning gospel group Commissioned in the 1990s when Gospel star Fred Hammond exited. But, in 2009, Nevels has emerged with extraordinary talent and inspiring songs that penetrate the soul.

He shares executive producing credits with Dr. Clyde Maxwell who co-owns the 7-Places record label along with Nevels. “Love You I” is available at Best Buy stores and online at www.7-places.com and www.bestbuy.com. For more information contact Louise M Moore at louise@ltlentertainment.com.
