Gospel Sensation VICKI YOHE brings PEACE with her new release and music video….

No comments 30 September 2011 Under: Black Gospel News

For Immediate Release:
Source: Shanachie Entertainment & eOne Entertainment

(New York- September 30, 2011)- Over the last two decades, Vicki Yohe has been at the forefront of the praise and worship music movement on a church circuit where she turned songs such as “The Mercy Seat,” “Under The Blood” and “Something About My Praise” into international anthems via her soul-stirring performances of the songs at mass evangelistic crusades all over the globe. Her ministry has even afforded her the opportunity to appear as a Keynote speaker at a Pentagon Prayer Breakfast. However, the gospel music market didn’t discover Yohe’s dynamic voice until the debut of her 2003 Top Ten radio smash, “Because of Who You Are.” Since then, Yohe has enjoyed other airwave favorites such as “Deliverance Is Available,” “Increase Me,” “Your Breakthrough” and “The Lord is Good.” As she releases her tenth and latest CD, I’m At Peace: A Praise And Worship Experience on Shanachie Entertainment (release date - September 27, 2011), Yohe is relishing a new level of artistic freedom in the creation of her music. She co-wrote half of the album and is calling the shots – a first in her career. Yohe is also enjoying motherhood. Not only is she raising two adopted sons but she’s also the spiritual mama to three dozen African children at an orphanage she founded and supports in Uganda. Where does Yohe get the burst of energy to juggle her busy career, the demands of motherhood and raising money for the children’s home? God’s Peace.

Tyscot Records’ Artist Lucinda Moore Wins First Ever Stellar Award as Traditional Vocalist of the Year

No comments 28 January 2011 Under: Black Gospel News

Singer Makes First Appearance On BET’s Bobby Jones Gospel, Sunday, February 6, 2011 @ 9:00 AM EST

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Nashville, TN — In a year of dramatic firsts, Gospel star Lucinda Moore continues to break new ground in her career and open doors for her current CD, `Blessed Broken & Given’ (Tyscot Records). The singer has won the first Stellar Award (the gospel music industry’s answer to the Grammy) of her two-decade career at the 26th Annual Stellar Award ceremony that took place at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville. In an upset vote, Moore beat out gospel legends Shirley Caesar and Vanessa Bell Armstrong, alongside newcomer Fredericka Faison, for the coveted honor.

“I‘m floored and in utter disbelief,” Moore confesses as she ponders this new accolade. “I worked non-stop and fought every obstacle to get here. Now, God has rewarded the hard work I’ve done through the years. I’m so thankful to all of the staff at Tyscot Records, my co-producer Jojo Hill, and my past co-producer Vashawn Mitchell for making me sound great.”

Moore is one of the few women in gospel music who actually has a hand in producing her albums. The 20-year music veteran is best known for her 2006 Top 20 breakthrough smash, “Pressure Into Praise” that she wrote and co-produced with Vashawn Mitchell. However, her latest single “The Fire Baptized Medley” that she co-produced with JoJo Hill, is currently one of the Top 100 most played gospel songs in the country according to Nielsen BDS that monitors radio airplay for Billboard magazine. She performs the song Sunday, February 6, 2011 @ 9 a.m. EST on Black Entertainment Television’s (BET) longest running program, “Bobby Jones Gospel.” It’s her first appearance on the show and this episode will also feature performances from Donald Lawrence and Dewayne Woods.

A mother of three boys, Moore splits her time between her native Connecticut and North Carolina where she moved to care for her now deceased grandmother. It’s bittersweet time for Moore who went through the dissolution of her mentally abusive marriage as she prepared the `Blessed Broken & Given’ CD. “Emotionally I was a wreck,” she says as she ponders the songs she wrote to encourage others. “I’m doing it to help other people come out of what they are coming out of,” she explains. “You don’t have to be unhappy and sit in abuse… This is the happiest time of my adult life.” Visit www.lucindamoore.com or www.tyscot.com for more information.
